The discussion centered on de Jong’s innovative work at the intersection of AI, blockchain, and artistic expression. His experience spans decades of research and development in decentralized systems, blending technology with creative vision. From Microelectronics to AI and BlockchainDimitri’s journey began with a foundation in microelectronics and systems theory. As he explained, this background provided a deep understanding of complex systems and their optimization. His work in the 2010s revolved around using machine learning to simulate rare events and improve microchip designs for diverse environments, from space missions to nuclear reactors.“I specialized in systems theory and nonlinear systems to optimize designs in virtual environments,” said Dimitri. “That foundation translates directly into understanding decentralized systems.”This knowledge eventually led him to blockchain and AI, where he developed data sovereignty solutions such as Ocean Protocol, a decentralized data exchange, and Nevermind, focused on AI agents and data ownership.204.ai: Fusing Art and TechnologyDimitri described 204.ai as an “interactive design studio” where AI and artistic research converge. The studio explores immersive generative art, creating unique experiences like stepping into AI-enhanced paintings or witnessing fossils “come alive” through dynamic overlays.“We aim to make AI interactions multi-sensory and deeply engaging,” he said. “For example, we use brain-computer interfaces to enhance real-time generative designs.”204.ai’s work spans institutional projects and public-facing immersive experiences. Mingling with new people is not easy, and it can become very difficult if you are an introvert. To make it easier for you to have a healthy social spirit, we made a list of the best hobbies that can strengthen your social life.

Paintball
Playing paintball tends to enhance your social life. You can enjoy your weekend with your friends or colleagues by having a friendly paintball match. If possible, look for outdoor or indoor paintball rooms so that you can have social gatherings from time to time. Besides that, paintball can improve your shooting skills as well as be a great workout.

Volunteer for camps
Here is another hobby which can uplift your social life. If your school, college, or local community holds a camp or program, it is better to register and take part in them. By volunteering for the events, you can chat with other people regularly, which will help you develop a more friendly approach.

Learn music or dance
People who have the same musical interest often tend to have a strong social bond, so you can join classes to learn a new instrument. If possible, you can also make a band with your friends which is excellent for your social life.

Another hobby which has a great influence on your social life is dancing. If you have a group of friends who are enthusiastic about dance, all of you can join a dance club so that you can spend more time together. You can choose any dance form based on your interest, such as hip-hop, ballet, contemporary, folk, robot, modern, classical, and many more.

Join a club in your school
As of now, many schools, colleges, and even universities offer different types of clubs (associations) for the students to improve their social skills. So, browse through the clubs and join the one which you are interested in, for example, sports club, admin club, cooking club, craft club, and many more.

Watch movies or documentaries
If you can not hang out with your friends outdoors, it is better to have a movie night at your home. Make sure to invite your pals, and you all can watch a drama, documentary, a comedy skit, and much more. After that, have a snack party to complete your day.

Rock climbing and hiking
Adventure activities are often the best way to hang out with your peers. If there is a rock climbing or a hiking spot near your location, it is better to visit that place. If you and your group have time, you all can spend the night in the mountain under the stars after setting up your tents. Sounds incredible, right?

Play board games
If you want to enhance your social life, it is not always necessary to go outdoors. Hence, you can spend time playing different types of board games such as chess, carrom board, ludo, snake and ladder, Uno, and other card games. All these board games are fun and can be exciting.

Team sports
It is often best to participate as a team in sports events. Gather your friends and start practicing numerous kinds of team games such as cricket, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, beach volleyball, and so on. Another benefit of team sports is that you can go to other social meetings like prize ceremonies, demonstrations, and more.

Winter games
If your city often experiences snow or cold weather, you can play ice hockey, figure skating, sledding, a friendly snowball fight, and many more. Some developed cities have indoor snow stadiums, and you can get an experience of multiple winter games.

Final Word
Though it might seem difficult to approach new people, you can make use of the above hobbies to have a decent social life. Start doing the things you love and start to meet people with the same interests!
